casa mendelssohn

[R]
residential

Mendelssohn is a residential project that emerged from a highly personalized interior redesign brief. The client requested an original proposal featuring distinctive materials combined with color and texture accents, integrated art pieces, and carefully selected vegetation to enrich the spatial experience.

The site’s location and slope played a significant role in the architectural solution, optimizing the views and spatial organization throughout the house. A refined material palette defines the project’s luxurious character. Rosso lepanto and calacatta viola stones were used as accent materials, chosen for their dramatic veins and deep colors. These elements introduce visual focal points that create sophistication and contrast harmoniously with the more neutral surrounding materials.

The design achieves harmony across all areas by maintaining a consistent architectural language. Materials, color palettes, and architectural details are intentionally repeated throughout bedrooms, terraces, and social spaces to generate a continuous visual flow. Careful selection of furniture and lighting further enhances this unity while allowing each area to retain its own identity.

Several spaces stand out within the project. The exterior gardens are highlighted by reflective water features and a curated selection of vegetation that bring tranquility and freshness to the environment. The main living room impresses with its double-height ceiling, a sculptural fireplace serving as a central element, and subtle Rosso Lepanto marble accents that reinforce the overall visual identity. The kitchen is distinguished by unconventional finishes and a sculptural countertop that functions as a focal piece within the space.
