Cherem is conceived as a warm, material-driven residence where architecture recedes in favor of texture, craft, and atmosphere. Rather than relying on sharp contrast or dramatic geometry, the project builds its identity through the layering of natural materials — book-matched onyx and marble slabs, rich walnut paneling, and travertine — treated as the true protagonists of each space. The design language favors depth and tactility over minimalism, resulting in interiors that feel curated, collected, and intentionally aged with character rather than sterile or overly polished.

Material selection in Cherem leans heavily on veined green and dark marbles — used as monolithic dining tables, kitchen islands, and closet pedestals — paired with dark walnut millwork, travertine wall cladding, and leather or suede upholstery in cognac, olive, and taupe tones. Bronze and aged-brass metal accents appear consistently across lighting, hardware, and shelf detailing, reinforcing continuity from the entry elevator lobby through to the most private dressing rooms. Textural rugs, bouclé seating, and richly grained wood flooring soften the stone's weight, creating a balance between raw material presence and lived-in comfort.
atmosphere
The atmosphere throughout Cherem is enveloping and intimate, built on low, warm lighting and a palette of umber, olive, and bronze tones that shift gently between rooms. Sculptural details — abstracted bronze figures, curved linear light fixtures that trace across ceilings like drawn lines, and objects displayed within backlit shelving — introduce a sense of art-gallery curation within a domestic setting. Even the more playful spaces, such as the children's bedrooms with their graphic murals, are treated with the same material confidence, extending the home's layered warmth into every occupant's world rather than reserving it only for adult-facing rooms.
