mirador  de la loma

[R]
residential

The remodeling of Mirador de la Loma was guided by a clear premise: to update a classic-style residence without compromising its architectural essence. The homeowners sought to incorporate a modern design language that would meet their everyday needs while fostering family connection, particularly through functional, comfortable, and visually harmonious social spaces.

The project spans a total area of 715 square meters and focuses primarily on the redesign of the home’s shared areas. These environments were conceived as spaces for interaction, where each design element was thoughtfully selected to support daily life while preserving visual coherence and spatial clarity.
The intervention respected the property’s original character, integrating contemporary materials that introduce both refinement and a renewed atmosphere. Taj mahal quartzite, tundra grey marble, Rochelle Grey marble, ash walnut veneer, and wallpaper compose a subtle yet expressive material palette that complements the existing architecture and creates a balanced visual identity.

As part of the clients’ specific requests, the design included the complete transformation of the basement level. This space became a “Mancave”, a masculine-style social area that contrasts with the rest of the residence. Its darker tones and introspective ambiance establish an intimate, versatile environment with a distinct personality.

Mirador de la Loma represents a thoughtful blend of tradition and modernity. The resulting spaces reflect the lifestyle of its residents, offering renewed relevance while remaining rooted in the architectural spirit of the original home.
